Default about me
My sister, Sue, introduced me to SU in October, 2004.  She was invited to a Camp at the home of a mutual friend and thought I "just might" be interested in stampin. Little did she know! That evening I became hooked! Not knowing anything about stampin, I ordered a Kit similar to the Start Simply Kits SU offers today. The rest is history!

On our way home from the Camp, Sue and I decided we’d inquire as to the benefits of becoming a SU Demonstrator. The 20% discount was certainly attractive; however, being that we were both new to the hobby, it just made sense to order  the Demonstrator Starter Kit as it offered everything we would need initially, plus more. So on January 1, 2005, we made the plunge and mailed our Applications with the intent that we would work as a Team and that’s just what we’ve done.

At the time, I was still employed full time but Sue was retired.  Early on we decided it would be fun to get a group of ladies together to stamp. We began with a few Camps a month but our business grew to an average of one Camp per week. In addition, we have two friends who have monthly Camps. Sue and I design our own cards and do our own card cutting. Time wise, it’s great in that neither of us has to prepare for an entire camp but rather just a portion of it. Even working as a Team, we have been able to meet our quarterly quotas.

This venture came at a bittersweet time in my life. Our son, now 30, bought a condo and moved about an hour away. Then our daughter, now 37, her husband and our only granddaughter moved to TX in 2005. Needless to say, I had a lot of free time on my hands. SU has definitely filled part of the void of the kids being away. It has also enabled me to cross paths with some really nice people whom otherwise I would not have met. Just like the saying goes, timing is everything. Thanks to my sister, her introducing me to SU came just at the right time!

Well to update "my story", my husband and I bought and closed on a residence in TX in November, 2010, to be close to our granddaughter.  I am in the process of growing a SU business here just like in the Carolinas.  I will miss my team mate and sister, Sue.  It's going to be a big change for both of us as we will  be doing all the preparation ourselves for whatever camps and clubs we have.

If you are remotely interested in hearing more about SU, I do hope you will contact me. The timing may not be right for you to become a Demonstrator ~ you might just be interested in coming to a monthly Camp. Whatever the case, please know that I’m just a phone call or e-mail away.
